Red Devils Down Shoremen, 126-79
Thomas Wins Two Events for Washington

CHESTERTOWN, MD - Visiting Dickinson College defeated host Washington College, 126-79, in a Centennial Conference swim meet this afternoon at Casey Swim Center. The Red Devils remained undefeated at 6-0 overall and 3-0 in the conference with the win, while the Shoremen fell to 3-4 and 0-3 with the loss. Sophomore Alex Thomas (Towson, MD/Calvert Hall) won two individual events for Washington.

Thomas won the 200 individual medley in a WC season-best time of 2:05.77 and the 200 breaststroke in 2:18.22. Junior Colin Soper (Towson, MD/Loyola Blakefield) finished second in two individual events. He was second in the 200 freestyle in a WC season-best time of 1:49.22 and second in the 500 freestyle in 5:09.82.

Sophomore Brandon Becker (Jamison, PA/Central Bucks East) added a second-place finish of 23.19 in the 50 freestyle, while freshman Phil Munger (Devon, PA/Conestoga) was second in the 200 individual medley in 2:08.55 and freshman Dan Wentzel (Exton, PA/Henderson) was second in the 100 freestyle in 51.91.

Becker, Soper, Thomas, and Wentzel also won the 400 medley relay in 3:48.26.

The Shoremen return to action one week from today with a 1:00 p.m. Centennial Conference meet at Ursinus.
