12, 2003 CHESTERTOWN, MD - The Washington College men's swim team lost its final dual meet of the season, 139-60, at Swarthmore this evening. Freshman Andy Wesolek (Woodstown, NJ/Woodstown) won two individual events for the Shoremen (4-6, 1-5 Centennial). Wesolek won the 50 freestyle in 22.33 and the 100 backstroke in 2:01.68. Junior Alex Kuhn (Washington, PA/McGuffey) finished second in the 200 individual medley in 2:03.48 and in the 200 backstroke in 2:04.08. His time in the 200 individual medley was a WC season best. Junior John Evans (Westminster, MD/Westminster) added a second place finish in the 200 breaststroke in 2:15.96. The Shoremen will compete at the Centennial Conference Championships February 21st-23rd. |
