Shoremen Fall to Dickinson
Jensen, Wesolek Each Finish First

CARLISLE, PA - The Washington College men's swim team slipped to 4-4 overall and 1-3 in the Centennial Conference with a 137-59 loss to host Dickinson. Sophomore Ken Jensen (Mays Landing, NJ/Oakcrest) and freshman Andy Wesolek (Woodstown, NJ/Woodstown) each won one individual event for WC.

Jensen was first in the 100 butterfly in 58.23, while Wesolek won the 200 backstroke in a WC season-best time of 2:00.53. Washington also won the 400 medley relay as Wesolek, Jensen, and juniors John Evans (Westminster, MD/Westminster) and Alex Kuhn (Washington, PA/McGuffey) completed the race in a WC season-best time of 3:46.42.

Evans accounted for two individual second-place finishes. He was second in the 200 individual medley in 2:07.89 and second in the 100 breaststroke in a WC season-best time of 1:04.03. Wesolek took second in the 50 freestyle in 22.29 and Kuhn was second in the 200 freestyle in 1:52.73.

The Shoremen return to action a week from today when they host McDaniel at 1:00 p.m.
