13, 2002 CHESTERTOWN, MD -- The Washington College men's swim team dropped its final dual meet of the season, falling to visiting Swarthmore, 137-62, this evening at Casey Swim Center. The Shoremen finish with an overall dual meet record of 3-8 and a Centennial Conference dual meet record of 1-5. Senior Ryan Behles (Towson, MD/Calvert Hall), and sophomores John Evans (Westminster, MD/Westminster) and Alex Kuhn (Washington, PA/McGuffey) each won one event. Behles finished first in the 1000 freestyle in 10:58.63. Evans swam a WC season-best time of 2:02.26 to win the 200 breaststroke. Kuhn won the 200 backstroke in 2:03.97. Evans added a second-place finish in the 200 individual medley in a WC season-best time of 2:12.26, while Behles took second in the 500 freestyle in 5:25.85. The Shoremen will compete at the Centennial Conference Championships, February 22-24 at Franklin & Marshall College. |
