CHESTERTOWN, MD -- The Washington College men's swim team fell to visiting St. Mary's (MD) College this evening, 98-84, in a dual meet at Casey Swim Center. Sophomore John Evans (Westminster, MD/Westminster) recorded each of the Shoremen's three first-place finishes.

Washington (3-5) led the meet, 16-15, after Evans won the 1000 freestyle in 10:55.93. His win in the 200 individual medley (2:04.52) three events later helped tie the meet at 42-42. The Seahawks won all but five of the final six events to earn the victory, however. Junior Pat Cline (Cape May, NJ/Lower Cape May Regional) took second in the 50 freestyle, touching the wall in a WC season-best and personal-best time of 23.79.

Seniors Ryan Behles (Towson, MD/Calvert Hall) and Eric Waterman (Little Silver, NJ/Red Bank Regional), and sophomore Alex Kuhn (Washington, PA/McGuffey) each added a second-place finish. Behles swam a 2:12.53 in the 200 butterfly, Waterman swam a 2:24.70 in the 200 backstroke, and Kuhn swam a 5:24.36 in the 500 freestyle to capture those runner-up spots.
