Shoremen Drop Meet at Elizabethtown
Four Shoremen Record Individual Wins

ELIZABETHTOWN, PA -- The Washington College men's swim team dropped a non-conference dual meet to host Elizabethtown tonight, 90-84. The Shoremen drop to 3-4 on the season with the loss.

Four different Shoremen each won one event. Freshman Kenneth Jensen (Mays Landing, NJ/Oakcrest) won the 200 freestyle in 2:00.08, junior Pat Cline (Cape May, NJ/Lower Cape May Regional) won the 100 butterfly in 57.64, and sophomore John Evans (Westminster, MD/Westminster) finished first in the 100 breaststroke in 1:04.44. Senior Ryan Behles (Towson, MD/Calvert Hall) claimed first place in the 1000 freestyle as the race's only entrant, finishing in 11:14.97.

Behles, Evans, and Jensen each added a second-place finish as well. Behles completed the 500 freestyle in 5:32.38, Evans touched the wall at 2:05.93 in the 200 individual medley, and Jensen finished the 100 butterfly in 59.65. Junior Tristan Everitt (Brownsville, TX/Gladys Porter) finished second in the 100 backstroke in 1:08.15.

Elizabethtown led the meet, 90-73, heading into the final event, the 200 freestyle relay, and did not enter a team. Cline, Behles, senior Eric Waterman (Little Silver, NJ/Red Bank Regional), and freshman Blake Craft (Landenberg, PA/Sanford) took the 11 points in the race and finished in 1:44.52.

The Shoremen return to action Friday with a 6:00 p.m. home meet against St. Mary's (MD).
