6, 2008 McGarry Named To
All-CC Sportsmanship Team Four Washington
College student-athletes have been named to the All-Centennial Conference Sportsmanship
Team for winter sports. Each Centennial Conference member institution was permitted
to nominate one student from each winter program who exemplifies the best in sportsmanship.
Nominations were submitted by the athletic departments or head coaches. This is
the first year of the All-Centennial Sportsmanship team, which was proposed by
the conference's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). Senior Kevin McGarry
(North Wildwood, NJ/Wildwood Catholic) represented Washington's men's swimming

& McGarry Named to Centennial Academic Honor Roll
A school-record 13 Washington College
student-athletes have been named to the Centennial Conference's Academic Honor
Roll for winter sports. To be named to the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete
must be a sophomore, junior or senior; a starter or key reserve on his or her
team; and carry at least a 3.40 cumulative grade-point average. From the men's
swimming team, seniors Brandon Becker (Jamison, PA/Central Bucks East),
Eddie Raleigh (Hanover, PA/Southwestern), and Kevin McGarry
(North Wildwood, NJ/Wildwood Catholic) landed on the Honor Roll.

Wins Gold, Silver at Centennial Champs Shoremen
Also Win Four Other Silver Medals Sophomore
Dylan Pollock (Savannah, GA/Benedictine Military) won gold in
the 200 butterfly with a school record time and took silver in the 100 butterfly
as the Washington College men's swim team finished fifth of seven schools at the
2008 Centennial Conference Championships this weekend at Franklin & Marshall.
Freshman Matt Violette (Westbrook, ME/Westbrook) added a silver medal in
the 400 individual medley and the Shoremen also picked up silver in three relay
events at the championships. Click here
