9, 2009 LANCASTER, PA -- Washington College sophomore goalkeeper Chris Phipps (Newark, DE/St. Mark's) has been named to the All-Centennial Conference second team for men's soccer in a vote conducted by the conference's coaches. Phipps is the first WC goalkeeper to earn all-conference honors since Ryan Miller was named an honorable mention in 2004 a year after being named to the second team. Phipps finished the season with 129 saves, leading the conference in saves per game with an 8.06 average. He posted a save percentage of .750 and a goals-against average of 3.04. He also recorded one solo shutout. |
