#17 Sea Gulls Down Shoremen, 3-0
Bedrock Makes 9 Saves in First Career Start

SALISBURY, MD -- Host Salisbury University got two goals from Sam Forline as the 17th-ranked Sea Gulls downed visiting Eastern Shore rival Washington College, 3-0, on Wednesday afternoon at the Soccer Complex. Salisbury improves to 3-0 on the season, while the Shoremen fall to 1-1.

Salisbury broke the scoreless tie at 15:01 into the match when Kyle Sterling finished off a Scott Sparrow pass to give the hosts a 1-0 lead. In the 37th minute, Forline scored the first of his two goals with Benjamin Reed chalking up the assist to make it 2-0.

The Sea Gulls concluded the scoring at the 68:22 mark when Forline scored unassisted.

Salisbury outshot Washington in the tilt, 25-3. For the Sea Gulls, Greg Wellinghoff made two saves in the win. For the Shoremen, sophomore James Bedrock (Waldwick, NJ/Waldwick) tunred away nine shots in his first career start.

The Shoremen return to action Saturday with a 12:00 p.m. match at Hampden-Sydney in the Hampden-Sydney Arby's Tiger Invitational.
