Schultz Tabbed Centennial Conference
Offensive Player of the Week

LANCASTER, PA -- Washington College senior forward Brian Schultz (Baltimore, MD/Calvert Hall) has been named the Centennial Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week as announced by the conference office on October 13. This is the first time he has won the award and is the first Shoreman to earn the conference offensive player of the week honor since Josh Todd garnered co-offensive honors in 2006.

Schultz scored the game-winning goal in Washington's historic 2-1 win over Muhlenberg on October 11, as it was the Shoremen's first all-time victory over the Mules. Schultz corralled a loose ball after the Muhlenberg goalkeeper lost the ball and netted his team-leading third goal of the season in the 56th minute to put the Shoremen up 2-0.

Schultz, who has played in all 11 contests this season, leads the team in goals with three and points with six in 2008.

The Shoremen (3-8, 1-4 CC) host Wesley on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. in a non-conference match.
