20, 2008 CARLISLE, PA -- Host Dickinson College recorded 26 shots en route to a 3-1 Centennial Conference men's soccer victory over visiting Washington College this afternoon in Carlisle, PA. The Red Devils improved to 6-1 overall and 1-0 in conference play with the win, while the Shoremen slipped to 2-4 and 0-1 with the loss. Taylor Perry scored the only goal of the first half off an assist from Zach Pritchard at 16:28. Pritchard opened the second-half scoring with an unassisted tally at 67:59 and David Lister made it 3-0 off an assist from Bryan Gilmartin at 85:29. Senior forward Brian Schultz (Baltimore, MD/Calvert Hall) put the Shoremen on the board at 86:45. The Red Devils got off their 26 shots while holding the Shoremen to seven. Dickinson also enjoyed a 9-2 edge in corner kicks. Rodrigo Barbosa made one save in the win for the Red Devils, while freshman goalkeeper Chris Phipps (Newark, DE/St. Mark's) made 13 saves for the Shoremen. The Shoremen return to action next Saturday with a 3:30 p.m. Centennial Conference game at Franklin & Marshall.
