2006 CHESTERTOWN, MD -- The Washington College men's soccer team scored three goals in the first 16:05 of the game en route to a 4-0 win over visiting FDU-Florham this afternoon on Kibler Field at Roy Kirby, Jr. Stadium. The Shoremen improved to 5-4 with the win, while the Devils fell to 3-7-1 with the loss. Senior forward Josh Todd (Crisfield, MD/Crisfield) put the Shoremen on the board at 3:07 when he booted in a loose ball. Sophomore midfielder Conor Halesworth (Randolph, NJ/Randolph) made it 2-0 with a goal off an assist from sophomore forward/midfielder Brian Schultz (Baltimore, MD/Calvert Hall) at 11:03. Schultz then found Todd for a goal at 16:05 to push the lead to 3-0. Washington tacked on its final goal when junior midfielder Frank Borelli (Malaga, NJ/Delsea Regional) scored off a Todd assist at 85:45. Junior goalkeeper Marc Petrucci (Avondale, PA/Avon Grove) played the first half for Washington and made two saves. Junior goalkeeper Mike Gillis (Aberdeen, MD/Aberdeen) played the second half and made five saves. Jared Drucker made three saves for FDU-Florham. Washington held a 15-11 advantage in shots in the game. FDU-Florham maintained a 6-4 advantage in corner kicks. The Shoremen return to action Saturday with a 2:30 p.m. Centennial Conference game at Dickinson.
