| October 5, 2005 MCLEAN, VA -- Host Marymount University scored the only goal of the game in the 18th minute of play in a 1-0 non-conference men's soccer victory over visiting Washington College this afternoon in McLean, VA. The Saints improved to 4-6-2 with the win, while the Shoremen fell to 3-7 with the loss. Gary Climo provided all of the game's scoring with a goal off assists from Erik Andrisano and Justin Kessler at the 17:56 mark. Marymount goalkeeper Brian Craddock made nine saves for the Saints. Washington sophomore goalkeeper Mike Gillis (Aberdeen, MD/Aberdeen) made five saves and allowed one goal in the first half. Junior Sean Ferri (Northport, NY/Kings Park) played the second half in goal for the Shoremen and made five saves while allowing no goals. Marymount held a 17-14 advantage in shots and a 6-3 edge in corner kicks in the game. The Shoremen return to Centennial Conference play Saturday with a 1:00 p.m. home game against Dickinson.
