| October 15, 2005 CHESTERTOWN, MD -- Host Washington College and visiting Gettysburg College played to a 2-2 double overtime tie in a Centennial Conference men's soccer game this afternoon at Shriver Field. Junior forward Josh Todd (Crisfield, MD/Crisfield) scored one goal for Washington (4-8-1, 2-3-1 Centennial) and assisted on the Shoremen's other goal. The Bullets (6-4-3, 3-1-2) got on the board first when Chris Bayon scored off an assist from Jesse Gemberling-Johnson just 7:55 into the game. Washington tied things up when Todd found freshman forward Brian Schultz (Baltimore, MD/Calvert Hall) for a goal at 26:49. The score remained tied until the Todd gave the Shoremen a 2-1 lead with his eighth goal of the season off an assist from junior midfielder Jordan Lange (Hyde Park, NY/Franklin D. Roosevelt) at 54:11. Gettysburg pulled even on a goal by Pat Brown at 76:03. Gettysburg held a 3-2 advantage in shots in the two overtime periods. Brown got off the last shot of the game with 38 seconds remaining, but it went wide. Washington junior goalkeeper Sean Ferri (Northport, NY/Kings Park) made six saves, while Nick Wells-Bundtzen made five saves for the Bullets. Gettysburg held a 19-11 advantage in shots and an 8-4 edge in corner kicks in the game. The Shoremen return to action on Wednesday with a 3:00 p.m. non-conference home game against Shenandoah.
