September 10, 2005 MADISON, NJ -- Visiting Washington College rallied from a three-goal halftime deficit to tie the score, but host FDU-Florham scored the game-winner with under nine minutes left in regulation to come away with a 4-3 men's soccer victory this afternoon in Madison, NJ. The Devils improved to 1-3 with the win, while the Shoremen fell to 0-3 with the loss. FDU-Florham took a 1-0 lead on a goal by Jimmy Durkan at 18:24 and quickly made it 2-0 when Christian DiRicuzo scored 54 seconds later. The Devils pushed the lead to 3-0 when Chris Paglio scored at 24:34. Freshman forward Brian Schultz (Baltimore, MD/Calvert Hall) started Washington's second-half rally when he scored his first collegiate goal off the first collegiate assist from sophomore midfielder Frank Borelli (Malaga, NJ/Delsea Regional) at 60:21. Schultz then picked up his first collegiate assist when senior midfielder Jaron Putmon (Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown) scored the Shoremen's second goal of the game at 70:59. Junior forward Josh Todd (Crisfield, MD/Crisfield) knotted the score at 3-3 off an assist from junior midfielder Jordan Lange (Hyde Park, NY/Franklin D. Roosevelt) at 73:47. Paglio scored the game-winner off an assist from Mauricio Rojas at 81:02. Washington held a 13-7 advantage in shots in the game. FDU-Florham held a slim, 6-5 edge in corner kicks. The Shoremen return to action tomorrow with a 3:00 p.m. game at Villa Julie.
