Red Devils Stop Shoremen, 1-0
Ferri Makes 10 Saves in Loss

CHESTERTOWN, MD -- Bobby Malek scored the only goal of the game in the 53rd minute to give visiting Dickinson a 1-0 win over host Washington College in a Centennial Conference men's soccer game this afternoon at Shriver Field. The Red Devils improved to 8-4 overall and 2-3 in conference play, while the Shoremen slipped to 3-8 and 2-3.

The Red Devils held a 12-1 advantage in shots in the first half, but could not convert in the opening period. Malek booted in a long shot from outside the box off an assist from Andy Rowek at 52:43.

Rodrigo Barboza made six saves in the shutout for Dickinson, while junior goalkeeper Sean Ferri (Northport, NY/Kings Park) made 10 stops for the Shoremen.

Dickinson held a 17-9 advantage in shots and a 10-2 edge in corner kicks in the game.

The Shoremen return to action Wednesday with a 3:30 p.m. home game against Delmarva rival Wesley College.
