September 25, 2004 CHESTERTOWN, MD -- Visiting Muhlenberg College tallied the only goal of the game in the 88th minute of play to defeat host Washington College, 1-0, in Centennial Conference men's soccer action this afternoon at Shriver Field. The Mules improved to 3-3-1 overall and 1-1 in conference play, while the Shoremen slipped to 3-3-1 overall and 0-1 in Centennial play. Ryan Smallwood booted in the Mules' late goal at the 87:20 mark after receiving a cross from Karim Assous. Muhlenberg held a wide 11-1 margin in corner kicks, but a slim 12-10 advantage in shots in the game. Washington senior goalkeeper Ryan Miller (Bel Air, MD/Fallston) made six saves in the loss, while Chris Davis tallied three for the Mules.
