Shoremen Fall to Green Terror, 2-0

WESTMINSTER, MD -- McDaniel College scored one goal in each half to defeat visiting Washington College, 2-0, this afternoon in a Centennial Conference men's soccer game in Westminster, MD. McDaniel, which improved to 10-5-3 overall and 6-1-2 in conference play with the win, will be the second seed in next week's Centennial Conference playoffs. The Shoremen finished their season at 4-11-1 and 1-8 with the loss.

Leon Mach opened the scoring for the Green Terror off an assist from Will Talesnick at 22:35. Scott Martin added an insurance goal at 69:35 off a feed from Ryan Nixon.

McDaniel goalkeeper Andrew Wu made six saves en route to the shutout. Washington senior goalkeeper Ryan Miller (Bel Air, MD/Fallston) made three stops in his final collegiate game.

McDaniel held slim advantages in both shots, 13-12, and corner kicks, 7-5.
