September 11, 2004 CHESTERTOWN, MD -- Lincoln University's Peter Jarbo scored the game-winning goal with 2:05 to play in the second overtime to give the Lions a 2-1 victory over host Washington College in men's soccer action this afternoon at Kibler Field. The Lions improved to 2-1 on the season with the the victory, while the Shoremen, slipped to 2-2. Sophomore forward/midfielder Jonnie Jenkins (Westminster, MD/South Carroll) scored for Washington in the loss. Jarbo put Lincoln ahead, 1-0, at the 26:42 mark with an unassisted goal, but Jenkins evened the scored later in the first half, at 28:57, with a goal off an assist from senior midfielder Tom Baker (Baltimore, MD/Archbishop Curley). The score remained tied until Jarbo's unassisted game-winner at 107:55. Lincoln's Kyle Wanamaker made four saves, while Washington senior goalkeeper Ryan Miller (Bel Air, MD/Fallston) made five. Lincoln held a 14-10 advantage in shots and a 7-3 edge in corner kicks. The Shoremen return to action Wednesday with a 4:00 p.m. game at Cabrini.
