October 27, 2004 BALTIMORE, MD -- Second-ranked Johns Hopkins University remained undefeated this season with a 1-0 victory over visiting Washington College in a Centennial Conference men's soccer game this afternoon in Baltimore, MD. The Blue Jays, who have now won their last four games by identical 1-0 counts, improved to 15-0 overall and 8-0 in conference play this season with the win, while the Shoremen fell to 4-10-1 and 1-7. Doug Pollack scored the game's only goal at 26:41 when he knocked the ball in off a defender from 15 yards out. Washington senior goalkeeper Ryan Miller (Bel Air, MD/Fallston) made four saves in the loss. Hopkins outshot the Shoremen, 21-3, and held a 10-3 advantage in corner kicks. The Shoremen will finish off their 2004 season with a 2:30 p.m. Centennial Conference game at McDaniel on Saturday.
