Fords Stop Shoremen, 1-0
Miller Makes Five Saves in Loss

HAVERFORD, PA -- Host Haverford College shut out visiting Washington College, 1-0, in Centennial Conference men's soccer action this afternoon in Haverford, PA. The Fords improved to 3-7 overall and 2-2 in conference play with the win, while the Shoremen slipped to 3-5-1 and 0-3 with the loss.

Haverford's Ben Bowens scored the only goal of the game on a blast to the far post at 37:42. Josef Bartels was credited with an assist on the goal.

Alec Aramanda made five saves for the Fords en route to the shutout. Washington senior goalkeeper Ryan Miller (Bel Air, MD/Fallston) also made five saves.

Haverford held a 20-7 advantage in shots and a 9-5 edge in corner kicks.

The Shoremen return to action one week from today with a 2:30 p.m. Centennial Conference game at Dickinson.
