September 4, 2004 FREDERICKSBURG, VA -- Eastern Mennonite's Ryan Bennett scored the only goal of the game in the 110th minute to give the Royals a 1-0 double-overtime victory over Washington College in men's soccer action today at the Mary Washington Classic in Fredericksburg, VA. Eastern Mennonite improved to 1-0 with the win, while the Shoremen slipped to 1-1 with the loss. Bennett knocked the ball into the left corner of the goal off an assist from Eric Blosser at the 109:12 mark for the game-winner. Senior goalkeeper Ryan Miller (Bel Air, MD/Fallston) made nine saves in the loss, helping offset a 19-8 advantage in shots for EMU. Tim Koehn made one save in the shutout for the Royals. The Shoremen finish play at the University of Mary Washington Classic tomorrow with a 1:00 p.m. game against Savannah College of Art & Design.
