Wesley Tops Shoremen, 1-0
Miller Makes Eight Saves

CHESTERTOWN, MD -- The Washington College Shoremen slipped to 4-4-2 this season with a 1-0 non-conference loss to Delmarva-area rival Wesley College this afternoon at Kibler Field. Wesley improved to 6-2-3 on the season with the victory.

Wesley scored the only goal of the game when Evan Myers knocked in a goal off an assist from Mike McCans at 59:20.

Washington junior goalkeeper Ryan Miller (Bel Air, MD/Fallston) made eight saves in the loss, holding an opponent to under two goals in a game for the 14th consecutive game, dating back to last season.

Wesley goalkeeper Edward Hunt made three saves in the shutout. Wesley held a 13-8 advantage in shots and a 6-4 edge in corner kicks.

The Shoremen return to action Saturday with a 1:00 p.m. Centennial Conference home game against Dickinson.
