22, 2003 STEVENSON, MD -- Freshman midfielder/forward Jonnie Jenkins (Westminster, MD/South Carroll) and freshman forward Josh Todd (Crisfield, MD/Crisfield) each scored a goal as the Washington College men's soccer team posted a 2-1 non-conference win at Villa Julie College this afternoon. It was the fourth win in a row for the Shoremen (8-4-2), giving them their first four-game winning streak since 2000. Jenkins scored his first collegiate goal at 29:17 off an assist from junior midfielder/forward Tom Baker (Baltimore, MD/Archbishop Curley). The Shoremen upped their lead to 2-0 when Todd scored off an assist from sophomore midfielder Jeff String (Woolwich Township, NJ/Kingsway Regional) at 50:32. The Mustangs (1-13-1) avoided the shutout when Ryan Collier scored off a Michael Gorsuch assist at 89:45. Washington junior goalkeeper Ryan Miller (Bel Air, MD/Fallston) made nine saves in the win for the Shoremen, helping to offset the Mustangs' 27-18 advantage in shots.
