4, 2003 CHESTERTOWN, MD -- For the second consecutive season, the Washington College Shoremen and the Haverford College Fords have played to a double-overtime 0-0 tie in men's soccer. This year's scoreless draw came this afternoon in a Centennial Conference contest at Kibler Field. The Shoremen (4-3-2 overall, 1-2-1 Centennial) held a 15-12 edge in shots, while the Fords (4-3-3, 1-1-2) had a 6-3 advantage in corner kicks. Washington junior goalkeeper Ryan Miller (Bel Air, MD/Fallston) picked up his fifth shutout of the season, making nine saves in 110 minutes of action. Miller and the Shore defense have now held 13 consecutive opponents to under two goals, dating back to last season. Haverford goalkeeper Alex Aramanda made six saves. Last year, Washington and Haverford played to a 0-0 tie at Haverford on October 26th. The Shoremen return to action Wednesday with a 4:00 p.m. home game against Delmarva area rival Wesley College.
