11, 2003 CHESTERTOWN, MD -- Freshman forward Josh Todd (Crisfield, MD/Crisfield) scored off an assist from junior midfielder/forward Tom Baker (Baltimore, MD/Archbishop Curley) in the 110th minute to give the Washington College men's soccer team a 2-1 double-overtime victory over visiting Dickinson in a Centennial Conference game this afternoon in Chestertown. Baker received the ball at midfield with 1:05 to play in the second overtime period and dribbled his way through the Dickinson defense. Once Baker was nearly parallel to the left side of the Dickinson goal, he sent a textbook cross into the box that Todd booted in for the game-winner. The Shoremen (5-4-2 overall, 2-2-1 Centennial) dented the scoreboard first, at 77:33, when junior midfielder Justin Layfield (Baltimore, MD/Calvert Hall) scored off an assist from senior forward/midfielder Geoff Foltyn (Baltimore, MD/Calvert Hall). Dickinson (7-7-1, 2-3) tied things up when Alfredo Axtmayer scored at 82:47. Washington junior goalkeeper Ryan Miller (Bel Air, MD/Fallston) made seven saves in the win, holding an opponent to under two goals in a game for the 15th consecutive game, dating back to last season. Dickinson goalkeeper Aaron Stemplewicz made nine saves. Dickinson held a 17-15 edge in shots in the game. Each team had five corner kicks. The Shoremen's next game is scheduled for Thursday, a 3:30 p.m. home non-conference game against Cabrini. Box Score Dickinson 0-1-0-0---1 Scoring (Assist) Washington Saves - Ryan Miller 7 (1
