Shoremen Rally Past Cabrini, 3-2
Lange Scores Game-Winner in 80th Minute

CHESTERTOWN, MD -- Freshman midfielder Jordan Lange (Hyde Park, NY/Franklin D. Roosevelt) scored the game-winning goal in the 80th minute as the the Washington College men's soccer team rallied from a 2-0 deficit to defeat visiting Cabrini College, 3-2, this afternoon at Kibler Field.

Cabrini (3-8-2) got on the board first when Sean Dugan headed in a wide cross from T.J. Dougherty at 39:55. Dougherty then scored off an assist from Dugan at 47:45 to put the Cavaliers up 2-0.

Junior midfielder/forward Tom Baker (Baltimore, MD/Archbishop Curley) started the rally for the Shoremen (6-4-2) when he scored off a long throw from sophomore midfielder Ja'ron Putmon (Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown) at 57:36. Baker, who has been involved in 11 of Washington's 15 goals this season, then tied things up at 69:44 off a double assist from freshman forward Josh Todd (Crisfield, MD/Crisfield) and senior defender Adam Bear (Middletown, DE/Middletown). Lange scored the game-winner at 79:02 off an assist from Bear. Bear's two assists in the game were the first two of his collegiate career.

Cabrini's two goals in the contest snapped Washington's impressive streak of 15 consecutive games allowing fewer than two goals, which dated back to last season. The Shoremen's three second-half goals marked the first time that WC has scored three goals in the same half this season.

The Shoremen return to Centennial Conference play Saturday with a 1:00 p.m. home game against Gettysburg.
