12, 2002 CHESTERTOWN, MD -- Visiting Muhlenberg College topped host Washington College, 1-0, in overtime, in Centennial Conference play this afternoon at Kibler Field. The Shoremen slip to 6-5-1 overall and 2-3 in conference play, while the Mules improved to 9-5 and 3-2. The Mules scored the game's only goal at 98:16 when Jose Ramirez knocked in a shot off an assist from David Vassilaros. The Shormen's last scoring chance came on a shot by senior forward T.J. Velykis (Franklinville, NJ/Delsea Regional) at 96:52, which was stopped by Muhlenberg goalie Chris Davis. Davis finished with five saves, while Shoreman sophomore goalkeeper Ryan Miller (Bel Air, MD/Fallston) made six. Muhlenberg held a slight 12-10 advantage in shots and a 7-0 margin in corner kicks. The Shoremen return to action Tuesday with a 3:30 p.m. non-conference game at Delmarva-area rival Wesley College.. Box Score
