2, 2002 WESTMINSTER, MD -- Five different Shoremen scored goals as the Washington College men's soccer team finished its regular season with a 5-1 win at McDaniel College. The win pushed the Shoremen's overall record to 9-7-2 and their Centennial Conference record to 4-4-1. McDaniel scored first, when David Filo knocked in a pass from Aaron Bulls at the 9:00 mark, but the Shoremen evened the score at 16:00 when sophomore forward David Dudick (Hudson, OH/Western Reserve Academy) knocked in a goal. Sophomore midfielder Tom Baker (Baltimore, MD/Archbishop Curley) scored off a feed from senior back Brian Kearney (Salisbury, MD/Portsmouth Abbey, RI) at 38:13 and senior forward T.J. Velykis (Franklinville, NJ/Delsea Regional) scored off an assist from Dudick at 39:10 to give the Shoremen a 3-1 halftime lead. In the second half, sophomore midfielder Justin Layfield (Baltimore, MD/Calvert Hall) booted in a goal at 64:03 off an assist from senior back Steve Yurchak (Franklinville, NJ/Delsea Regional). Junior forward/midfielder Geoff Foltyn (Baltimore, MD/Calvert Hall) rounded out the scoring at 84:30 off a feed from Layfield. Box Score
