WC, Haverford Play to Scoreless Tie
Miller Records Second Straight Shutout

HAVERFORD, PA -- The Washington College men's soccer team played to a 0-0 tie with host Haverford College this afternoon. WC sophomore goalkeeper Ryan Miller (Bel Air, MD/Fallston) recorded his second consecutive shutout and the second of his collegiate career for the Shoremen.

The Shoremen (7-7-2, 2-4-1) and the Fords (4-7-3, 0-4-3 Centennial) each got off 12 shots, while the Fords held a 7-3 edge in corner kicks.

Miller made 12 saves in the game, while Haverford goalie Dan DiBruno made eight stops. The Shoremen have posted their first two shutouts of the year in the first two games that freshman Matthew Watson (Pembroke, Bermuda/Westminster School, CT) has played in the back.

The Shoremen return to action next Wednesday with their final home game of the season, a 3:00 p.m. contest against Swarthmore.
