21, 2002 GETTYSBURG, PA -- The Washington College men's soccer team dropped its Centennial Conference opener to 15th-ranked Gettysburg College, 2-0, this afternoon. The Shoremen are now 3-2-1 overall on the season, while the Bullets are 5-0-2 overall and 1-0 in conference play. Gettysburg broke a scoreless tie at 60:12 when Mike Bevilacqua scored off an assist from Michael Garea. The Bullets added an insurance goal at 84:57 when David Pone scored off a feed from Michael Sarbaugh. WC sophomore goalkeeper Ryan Miller (Bel Air, MD/Fallston) made four saves in the loss. The Shoremen return to action Wednesday with a 4:00 p.m. game at Cabrini. Box Score
