26, 2001 CHESTERTOWN, MD -- The Washington College men's soccer team dropped a 3-0 Centennial Conference game to 17th-ranked Johns Hopkins this afternoon at Kibler Field. Sophomore goalkeeper Esteban Ferro (Quito, Ecuador) made 18 saves for the Shoremen, who fell to 1-6-1 overall and 0-3 in conference play with the loss. The Blue Jays (8-1, 4-0) got on the board twice in the first thirteen minutes of the game. Senior forward/midfielder Paul Galli (Roslyn, NY/Herricks) knocked in a header 10:58 into the contest off a feed from senior forward Aerik Williams (Columbus, OH/Columbus Academy). At the 12:09 mark, senior forward Matthew Doran (Stormville, NY/John Jay), the leading scorer in the Centennial Conference, added an unassisted goal. JHU's final goal came well into the second half, at 72:39, from sophomore midfielder Chad Tarabolous (Tulsa, OK/Cascia Hall). The Blue Jays outshot the Shoremen, 30-5, in the game. The Shoremen return to action Saturday with a 1:00 p.m. conference game at Ursinus. Box Score
