13, 2001 CHESTERTOWN, MD -- The Washington College men's soccer team suffered a 2-1 overtime loss today to Centennial Conference foe Dickinson College at Kibler Field. The loss dropped the Shoremen's record to 1-11-1 overall and 0-6, while the Red Devils improved to 4-10-1 overall and 2-4 in league play. Dickinson got on the board first when sophomore forward Brandon Corbitt (Olney, MD/Sherwood) scored an unassisted goal at 16:33. Washington tied the score in the second half when junior midfielder T.J. Velykis (Franklinville, NJ/Delsea Regional) headed in a goal off a pass from senior midfielder Chris Hastings (Glenelg, MD/River Hill). The Red Devils won the contest just 2:13 into overtime when freshman midfielder Michael Morrow (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill East) booted in a rebound for the game-winner. Washington lost its seventh game by one-goal this season, despite outshooting the Red Devils, 17-9, and holding a 5-4 edge in corner kicks. The Shoremen return to action Wednesday with a 3:30 p.m. home contest against Delmarva-area rival Wesley College. Box Score
