22, 2001 BOSTON, MA -- The Washington College men's
rowing squad had one team entrant yesterday at the Head of the Charles
Regatta, the largest crew event in the world. That team, entered in
the men's lightweight four, finished 18th out of 23 crews in the event. Sophomore coxswain Nick Mikhalevsky (Arlington,
VA/St. Andrew's School, MD) guided the Washington boat across the
finish line at 18:40.47. Senior Jonas Johnson (Atlanta, GA/Marist
School) sat stroke, while junior Sean Askham (Simsbury, CT/Simsbury)
and sophomore Greg Smith (Sykesville, MD/Mount St. Joseph) sat
third and second, respectively. Sophomore Jonathan Lange (Hyde Park,
NY/Franklin D. Roosevelt) was the team's bow. The Shoremen return to action Saturday at the Head of Schuykill Regatta. |
