WC Wins Two Races at Mid-Atlantic DIII Champs
Shoremen Win Varsity Four, Novice Four

YORK, PA -- The Washington College men's rowing team won a pair of races today and finished third of seven schools overall at the Mid-Atlantic Division III Rowing Championships in York, PA. Washington's "A" boat won the varsity four race, while the "B" boat was fourth in the same race. The Shoremen's novice four also won its race.

Senior Ashleigh Genevich (Avon Grove, PA/Avon Grove) served as coxswain of the Shoremen's "A" boat in the varsity four. Senior Hugh McAdam (Hollis, NH/Worcester Academy) sat stroke, sophomore R. Scott Jones (Maple Glen, PA/La Salle College HS) was in the three seat, sophomore Brian Gamble (Gibson Island, MD/Holderness School, NH) sat in the two seat, and junior Matt Icenroad (Sykesville, MD/Century) was the bow.

Sophomore Springer Harris (Huntingtown, MD/Northern) was the coxswain of the Shoremen's "B" boat in the varsity four. Sophomore Dan Pierce (Norwalk, CT/Norwalk) sat stroke, freshman Jake Ludemann (Wilton, CT/St. Luke's) was in the three seat, junior Derek Trott (Huntingtown, MD/Northern) sat in the two seat, and sophomore Keenan Wheeler (Towson, MD/Loyola Blakefield) was the bow.

Freshman Eric Swenson (Chatham, NJ/Chatham) served as coxswain of the Shoremen's novice four. Freshman Will Herland (Seattle, WA/Lakeside School) sat stroke, freshman Reno Smith (Ocean City, MD/Worcester Prep) was in the three seat, freshman Michael Zaborskiy (Novosibirsk City, Russia/American School of Bangkok) sat in the two seat, and sophomore Ryan Beaston (Enola, PA/East Pennsboro) was the bow.
