Three Shoremen Named All-Region
McAdam & Genevich Earn Varsity Honors

YORK, PA -- Three members of the Washington College men's rowing team were named to the second annual All-Mid Atlantic Regional team at Saturday's Mid-Atlantic Division III Rowing Championships in York, PA. Seniors Hugh McAdam (Hollis, NH/Worcester Academy) and Ashleigh Genevich (Avon Grove, PA/Avon Grove) earned varsity All-Region honors, while freshman Will Herland (Seattle, WA/Lakeside School) earned freshman All-Region honors.

McAdam, a repeat honoree, and Genevich have been integral parts of the Shoremen's lightweight four, which has had a banner year. The lightweights have competed in both lightweight and varsity four events this year and won races at the Philadelphia Frostbite Regatta, Rollins Spring Break Race, Occoquan Sprints, and Mid-Atlantic Division III Rowing Championships. The lightweights also won their heat and finished their in their final at the Knecht Cup. McAdam sat in the three seat and Genevich served as coxswain for the winning boat in the varsity four at the Mid-Atlantic Division III Rowing Championships Saturday.

Herland sat stroke for the winning boat in the novice four at both the Occoquan Sprints and the Mid-Atlantic Division III Rowing Championships.

The All-Mid Atlantic Regional teams were selected based upon nominations by the rowers' respective head coaches.
