2006 FAIRFAX STATION, VA -- The Washington College men's rowing team finished fifth in the men's heavyweight four today at the Middle Atlantic Collegiate Crew Championships held in Fairfax Station, VA. Washington won its heat to advance to the grand final. The Shoremen won their heat in 6:56.8. Fordham was second in that heat in 6:57.2. Washington finished the final in 6:47.3. Mary Washington won the final in 6:36.6. Senior Tom Murray (Gilbertsville, PA/Boyertown) served as the coxswain for the Shoremen's four. Sophomore Hugh McAdam (Hollis, NH/Worcester Academy) sat stroke, senior Mike Philipp (Newark, DE/Newark) was in the three seat, junior Andrew Bright (Gambrills, MD/DeMatha) sat in the two seat, and junior Ryan Trone (New Oxford, PA/New Oxford) was the bow. |
