2006 WORCESTER, MA -- The Washington College men's rowing team finished second in the petite final and eighth of 12 boats overall in the men's varsity four at the ECAC National Invitational Rowing Championships Sunday in Worcester, MA. The Shoremen finished fifth in their heat in 7:03.685, placing them in the petite final. Washington's second-place time of 6:57.195 in the petite final was less than three seconds behind first-place Trinity (CT) in the race. Senior Tom Murray (Gilbertsville, PA/Boyertown) served as the coxswain for the Shoremen's varsity four. Sophomore Hugh McAdam (Hollis, NH/Worcester Academy) sat stroke, senior Mike Philipp (Newark, DE/Newark) was in the three seat, junior Andrew Bright (Gambrills, MD/DeMatha) sat in the two seat, and junior Ryan Trone (New Oxford, PA/New Oxford) was the bow. |
