13, 2004 MELBOURNE, FL -- The Washington College men's rowing team opened its Spring racing season today at the Keuper Cup Regatta, hosted by Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, FL. Washington's heavyweight four finished second in its heat to Temple University. In the petite final, the Shoremen heavyweights finished second, reaching the finish just nine-tenths of a second behind first-place FIT. Embry-Riddle was third in the petite final. In them lightweight four, Washington finished second behind Marietta. In the novice four, the Shoremen finished third behind first-place Stetson and second-place Embry-Riddle. The Shoremen return to action on March 27th when they host the Caspersen Cup on the Chester River. |
