WC Eight Competes at Head of the Schuylkill

PHILADELPHIA, PA -- The Washington College men's rowing team competed in the club eight at the Head of the Schuylkill Regatta today in Philadelphia. Washington finished 29th of 35 boats in the race in 13:48.49.

Sophomore Tom Murray (Gilbertsville, PA/Boyertown) served as Washington's coxswain. With him in the boat were freshman Andrew Bright (Gambrills, MD/DeMatha) at stroke, senior Justin Smith (Yardley, PA/George School) in the seven seat, senior Dwayne Yerger (Naples, FL/The Hill School, PA) in the six seat, senior captain Jonathan Lange (Hyde Park, NY/Franklin D. Roosevelt) in the five seat, senior Travis Elliott (Lancaster, PA/Penn Manor) in the four seat, sophomore Rick Adrian (Baltimore, MD/Towson) in the three seat, freshman Adam Askham (Simsbury, CT/Simsbury) in the two seat, and senior captain Greg Smith (Sykesville, MD/Mount St. Joseph) at bow.

WC's novice rowers host the Tapke Chase tomorrow.
