15, 2003 MELBOURNE, FL -- The Washington College men's rowing team competed at the Keuper Cup Regatta in Melbourne, FL, today. It was the Shoremen's first competition of the Spring season. The varsity four petite boat finished second of three teams in 7:47.8. Emrby-Riddle was first and host Florida Tech third. The varsity four "A" boat lost to Marietta in its heat, finishing in 7:28.62. The varsity four "B" boat finished third in its three-boat heat in 7:46.6. Temple won that heat followed by Embry-Riddle in third. The Shoremen next compete at the Caspersen Cup on March 29th, the annual three-way regatta between Washington College, St. Johns (MD) College, and Johns Hopkins University. Hopkins is this year's host. |
