Novice Rowers Host Tapke Chase
Shoremen Compete in Eight

CHESTERTOWN, MD -- Washington College hosted the Tapke Chase, a novice-only rowing event, yesterday on the Chester River. The Shoremen had one boat race in the novice eight, finishing third.

Junior coxswain Jennifer Daily (Baltimore, MD) guided the WC boat across the finish line in 16:04. Freshman Martin Dunphy (Finksburg, MD) sat stroke, freshman Mike Philipp sat seventh, freshman Tyler Raven sat sixth, freshman Rick Adrian (Baltimore, MD) sat in the five seat, freshman Billy Peden (Lewes, DE) sat fourth, freshman Gus Gobeli (Chestertown, MD) sat third, freshman Kevin Marshall (Silver Spring, MD) sat second, and Graham Mellen (Chadds Ford, PA) sat in the one seat.
