28, 2002 PHILADELPHIA, PA -- The Washington College
men's rowing team had two fours compete at the Head of the Schuylkill
Regatta in Philadelphia, PA, on Saturday. The Shoremen's "A"
boat finished 13th in the men's four, while the "B" boat was
21st. Junior coxswain Nick Mikhalevsky (Arlington, VA/St. Andrew's School, MD) guided the "A" boat across the finish line in 15:47.36. Senior Sean Askham (Simsbury, CT/Simsbury) sat stroke, freshman Graham Mellen (Chadds Ford, PA) sat third, junior Travis Elliott (Willow Street, PA) sat second, and senior John Dolan (Millsboro, DE/St. Andrew's School) was the bow. Freshman Tom Murray (Gilberstville, PA) was the coxswain for the "B" boat, which finished in 17:15.84. Junior Dwayne Yerger (Pottstown, PA/Hill School) sat stroke, junior Justin Smith (Titusville, NJ/George School) sat third, junior Jonathan Lange (Hyde Park, NY/Franklin D. Roosevelt) sat second, and junior Greg Smith (Sykesville, MD/Mount St. Joseph) was the bow. |
