2008 CHESTERTOWN, MD -- Senior goalie Gordon Cohen (New Canaan, CT/New Canaan) and senior defenseman Sean Millham (Pasadena, MD/Mount St. Joseph) have been named the captains of the 2009 Washington College men's lacrosse team. Cohen also served as captain last season, while Millham is a first-year captain. Cohen earned All-Centennial Conference first team honors and All-America honorable mention last year. He posted a .599 save percentage and a 9.11 goals-against average. He also averaged a conference-leading 13.06 saves per game, recorded 69 ground balls (second-most on the team), and recorded his first career assist. He has 412 career saves to his credit as he enters his third year starting in goal for the Shoremen. Millham scooped up 34 ground balls in 2008, his first full year as a starter on the Shoremen defense. He also recorded his first collegiate assist in 2008. Millham has tallied 52 ground balls in 46 career games for the Shoremen. |
