Berger Repeats as MLL All-Star
WC Alum Has 22 Goals Through Eight Games
Long Island Lizards midfielder and 2004 Washington College graduate Stephen Berger (Columbia, MD/Mount St. Joseph) has been selected to play for the Eastern Conference team in the 2008 Major League Lacrosse All-Star Game to be held Thursday, July 17th, at Invesco Field at Mile High in Denver, CO. The game will air live on ESPN2 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time. This is Berger's second consecutive MLL All-Star Game selection; he scored three goals in his All-Star Game debut last season. Four Shoremen Named All-Americans
Read Achieves Honor for Third Time
Senior attackman Chris Read (Baltimore, MD/Boys Latin) became the 23rd three-time All-American in Washington College men's lacrosse history and three other Shoremen were awarded All-America status for the first time at the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association All-America Reception held Sunday in Boston, MA. Read was named to the second team, while junior goalie Gordon Cohen (New Canaan, CT/New Canaan), senior attackman Kolyn Kirby (Chestertown, MD/Kent County), and senior defenseman Connor Gerken (New Fairfield, CT/Wilton) were honorable mention selections.
