7, 2008 CHESTERTOWN, MD Washington College junior guard Todd Green (Ridgewood, NJ/Ridgewood) has been named to the ESPN the Magazine College Division Academic All-District II first team for men's basketball. The Academic All-District teams are selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Green, a co-captain, is averaging 9.0 points per game for the Shoremen in 19 games. He has also totaled 36 assists and 29 steals. He has led the Shoremen in scoring four times this season, including a career-high tying 21-point effort in a win over McDaniel. Green, who is also a co-captain of Washington's men's tennis team, carried a 3.956 grade-point average as a Math major into this semester. District II of the College Division covers student-athletes at NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA schools in Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia. Green's placement on the District II first team qualifies him for consideration for the College Division National Academic All-America team. |
