Shoremen Lax, Hoops Teams Help Out at Food Pantry

CHESTERTOWN, MD -- For one team, it was the day after a big Centennial Conference victory. For the other, it was the day before the final day of classes, right in the middle of their off-season between the end of fall practice and the beginning of the season. For both teams, it was a chance to give back.

The Washington College men's basketball and men's lacrosse teams joined together to volunteer at the Kent County Food Pantry this past Sunday.  The Shoremen helped unload and stock food at the pantry.

The Kent County Food Pantry has seen record demand in recent months as outlined in a recent Chestertown Spy article.

Check out this short video of the Shoremen pitching in. Additional video and photos can be found on the men's lacrosse team's blog.
