Glasser Makes History at NCAA Championships
Junior Places in Top Twelve in Three Events,
Becomes WC's Most-Decorated All-American

Washington College junior Rachel Glasser (Silver Spring, MD/Springbrook) earned All-America first team honors in two events and All-America honorable mention in another at the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships in Minneapolis, MN. Glasser placed sixth in the 200 butterfly, eighth in the 500 freestyle, and 12th in the 100 butterfly. She has now recorded five All-America or All-America honorable mention performances in her career, the most in school history by one individual swimmer. She is also just the fifth different Centennial Conference female swimmer to earn All-America or All-America honorable mention in three different individual events at one NCAA Division III Championship meet and the first from swimmer from Washington College to do so.

Shoremen Find "Pot of Gold" Against Eagles
WC Posts St. Patrick's Day Sweep of Division I Team

Senior Chris Smith (Catonsville, MD/Catonsville) tossed a complete game in game two and sophomore Shane Mattingly (Ellicott City, MD/Centennial) had a strong six-inning outing in game one as the Washington College baseball team swept Coppin State, 3-2, and 4-1, in a double-header this afternoon in Glen Burnie, MD. The game one win was the Shoremen's (5-3) first victory over a Division I team since a 7-1 win against Maryland-Eastern Shore in 1993.

Widener Wins Both From Washington
Carbutt Tallies A Hit In Both Ends of DH
Visiting Widener University downed host Washington College twice in a non-conference softball doubleheader on Wednesday at the Washington College Softball Field. The Pride (7-3) won game one, 7-0, and rallied to victory in game two, 5-4. The Shorewomen fell to 5-3 with the two losses, snapping their five-game winning streak.
